Ostello Montebello - Bellinzona Youth Hostel

The renewed boarding school had a grand and historic feel, making it a unique and charming place to stay. The room was comfortable and well-equipped, with a TV for entertainment. The hostel's location next to the castle walls was perfect for exploring the castles. The breakfast was delicious and the staff went above and beyond to make my stay pleasant, even accommodating my late arrival. The amenities like the washing machine, lockers, and terrace added to the overall convenience and enjoyment of my stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, even changing my room to a quieter one when I mentioned the noise. The view from the room was jaw-dropping, offering a stunning view of the fortress. All in all, my experience at this hostel was absolutely amazing!

This hotel exceeded my expectations in several ways. the location was ideal, right near everything we wanted to see and do. Secondly, the attentive staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Lastly, the basic amenities provided in our 5th-floor room with a private bathroom were more than satisfactory. Additionally, the breakfast spread offered a great variety, including options like soy milk, which was a pleasant surprise.

We stayed in a hostel that was conveniently close to the bus stop and the city centre. the room was clean and the bedding was fresh, but the bathroom was a bit dingy. Breakfast was included, but it was plain and unappetizing. Despite the lack of amenities, the hostel provided discount travel and museum passes and had friendly hostel staff.

The noise from other guests was unbearable and often kept us up late at night. the thin walls allowed sounds to travel, making it difficult to sleep.

Staff extra friendly and helpful, organized gluten-free bread, breakfast had everything we needed, clean and spacious room, knowledgeable receptionist.

Spent Xmas at this hostel and the Christmas decorations were adorable. the sheets were clean and the room had a heater. the location was perfect for walking to nearby restaurants and shops.

There were school groups staying here too and they were incredibly loud at night. the hostel was understaffed which meant no one was available to assist with any issues before 8am.

Spent my Christmas in a historical building with a stunning view of a nearby castle. The single room was spacious and comfortable even though the breakfast was ordinary. The staff provided useful and informative tips on the nearby sightseeings and the transportation discounts which was helpful during my stay. The ability to travel by bus and train for free was included in the room price, making it an even better deal.

The location of the hotel was very convenient, close to the city center and within walking distance to all the castles and the train station. Despite being located next to the railway, the room was surprisingly quiet and the bed was comfy. The breakfast had a good selection and even had soy milk available. The staff was helpful and friendly, speaking different languages and simplifying access to different activities. I had a great experience and felt that this hotel had good hotel facilities.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel in Bellinzona! The location was unbeatable, right next to the beautiful Castello Montebello. The view from my room window was amazing. The staff was friendly and provided me with great information about the local sights. The room itself was comfortable and the shower rooms were spacious and clean. On top of that, the room price included a Ticino transportation ticket, which allowed me to travel for free and get discounts on museum and castle entry. I highly recommend this hostel for its fantastic location, comfortable rooms, and helpful staff.
